ICIP and ICAHM Meetings Held in Washington

US members of two ICOMOS International Scientific Committees met in Washington while gathered for the US/ICOMOS Symposium. On Thursday, May 20, just prior to the annual meeting and symposium, US members of the International Scientific Committee on Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites (ICIP) met to discuss various related topics. New Members and Officers of Board of Trustees Elected

Members of US/ICOMOS elected two new Board members and a new slate of officers at the US/ICOMOS annual meeting, which was held at 3pm on Thursday, May 20, just prior to the 13th US/ICOMOS International Symposium. Andrew Potts of Washington, DC and Arthur Houghton, of Maryland, were elected to fill vacant positions and Wayne Donaldson, of California, was elected to a full term after completing his appointment to serve out the remaining term of a previously open position on the Board.

For three decades Ms Smith was at the very core of the dreamers and doers who nurtured ICOMOS to its maturity, personifying a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

Call for Nominations: US/ICOMOS Board Members

The Nominating Committee of the US/ICOMOS Board of Trustees is hereby soliciting nominations of members to stand for election to fill up to five vacancies that will exist on the Board of Trustees. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are truly passionate about international cooperation in heritage conservation to make a difference.
 
Elections will be held at the annual meeting May 20, 2010, to be held in conjunction with the 13th US/ICOMOS International Symposium in Washington, DC (May 20-22, 2010).
