Valeria Druetta's internship included a variety of activities related to historic ranches on the Channel Islands, not part of a National Park.

• She conducted historic and bibliographic research on shearing operations on Scorpions Ranch, Santa Cruz Island
• elaborated on the design and conceptual drawings for an exhibition planned for the future Visitors Center the Scorpions Adobe Building;
• and conducted a condition survey of five buildings belonging tot he main ranch complex on Santa Cruz Island.
