"It was fascinating to find out that even though people belong to different cultures, there are always many common grounds to talk about. What is more, if these people happened to be architects, these grounds are subjected to ceaseless conversations."Serra Akboy worked with a team from the National Park Service and Texas Technical University to document the Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island through laser scanning. After orientation, her internship began in Lubbock, Texas to learn about the laser scanning process, then continued on Liberty Island in New York Harbor for fieldwork. After two weeks there, the team returned to Lubbock to process the laser-scanned data.
