"Each bridge measured during the field work phase was a meeting with an impressive waterfall, an exotic and prolific flora, and the omnipresent sea, in the middle of an unpredictable weather that used to refresh us with an intensive rain just when the sun was on the top of its power.  Then, a well delineated rainbow completed the scenery and gave a prize to our eyes."

Elena worked with on the Hawaiian island of Maui, under the supervision of NPS Staff Todd Croteau.  Elena worked on a team documenting the historic Hana Belt Road that skirts the northeast coast of the island.
